Carbone is a leading hardware and tools retailer based in Panama, serving individual buyers and trade customers through its Shopify store. With a catalogue spanning tools, building supplies, and equipment, customers tend to browse extensively before committing. These are planners and not impulse buyers.
Without a wishlist, Carbone had no window into pre-purchase behaviour. They could see what sold, but not what customers were considering. Products that generated interest but did not convert were invisible. There was no way to identify which customers were close to buying, which products were generating demand, or where friction was causing hesitation.
Carbone integrated Flits Wishlist to give customers a place to save and organise products across their research journey. The result was not just a convenience feature — it was a demand intelligence layer. Every product saved became a data point. Every wishlist became a window into what customers intended to buy.
Over 90 days, 10,362 products were added to wishlists across 4,701 sessions. The average wishlist contained 63 products, revealing customers who were not just browsing casually but actively building purchase plans.
10,362 products were wishlisted. 5,086 resulted in orders. That leaves 5,276 products saved but not yet purchased, a live pipeline of future revenue sitting inside customer wishlists right now. This is the Demand Gap.

A customer saving 63 products is not browsing. They are building a project list, a procurement plan, or a renovation budget. That is a level of intent that no other on-site behaviour reveals as clearly.
Wishlist turned what was previously invisible, per purchase research, into structured, actionable data. Carbone can now see which products are generating the most saved interest, identify where customers are hesitating, and act on that demand before it goes elsewhere.
The 5,276 products still sitting in wishlists are not lost sales. They are the next wave of revenue, already identified, already named, and already waiting to be nudged again
